Infinix Mobility has started  rolling out Android Nougat updates to its Smartphones. Android Nougat 7,0 for Infinix Hot 4 was recently rolled out and now Android 7.1.1 Nougat update to the Zero 4 Plus users. This implies that Infinix Zero 4 Plus users can now run Android Nougat OS on their Smartphone.
The update is via Over-The-Air (OTA), and it weighs in at about 1.67GB. So, you need a good network connection to perform the upgrade, or better still, connect to a fast Wi-Fi network.
Before you perform the upgrade, make sure you unroot your phone if it's rooted so to avoid bricking the device. Below is the guide to start the upgrade if it's available for your Zero 4 Plus.

Pre-requisites

  • Your device should not be rooted
  • Only for Infinix Zero 4 Plus
  • Before running the update, ensure your Smartphone is 60% Charged.

How to Upgrade Infinix Zero 4 Plus to Android 7.1.1 Nougat via OTA

To Upgrade, follow the steps below;
  1. Go to Settings from your phone.
  2. Tap on "About Phone".
  3. Tap on "System Update".
  4. Next, tap on "Download and Install".
  5. Then wait for the download to complete
  6. Click on install
Your phone will be rebooted to install the new OS. And when it's done, you will now have a feel of Android 7.1.1 Nougat with latest XOS chameleon v2.1.
If you haven't received an OTA notification notifying you of the Nougat update, then you have to chill until it gets to your device.
