Innjoo Technology Limited was fined earlier this week by NCC for the sale of an approved Innjoo Smartphone. the Smartphone named Innjoo Fire was presumed by its users to be a complete failure with low battery stand-by, low display graphics and poor design. NCC had visited Innjoo Office in Lagos and had sealed and fined the Company for the sale of Innjoo Fire, which was not approved for sale.
They had fined them a sum of
N4 million and had suspended the sales of the Smartphone.
According to Salisu Abdu, the Head of Enforcement of NCC, he said:
“They have paid the fine of N4m and the sanction has been suspended. This is a warning to other phone manufacturers to get their devices type approved by the NCC. This is an opportunity for them to get necessary type- approval. It is an offence to sell devices not type-approved by the NCC.”
He further stated saying,
''Using non-type approved mobile handsets hampers network quality, warning that any equipment manufacturer found selling about eight handsets not approved will be fined."
This implies that this should be a warning to other Smartphone Companies to hinder from sales of unapproved Smartphones.
Some Smartphones can be advertised in such a way that can be pleasing in the eye but when you end up using the Smartphone, you would not be what you expected.
This wasn’t I expected from Innjoo Company but Innjoo Seems to be improving their latest Smart phones released.
Have you used an Innjoo Fire phone before, what do you think you dislike about the phone, would love to hear from you through the comment box.
